Jocelyn Formento

A portrait of Jocelyn Formento, an American Fiber Artist, working from her idyllic studio and home on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Jocelyn’s work embodies the changeable moods and colours of the Pacific through large-scale textiles created on her Frame Loom. Moods she witnesses daily, from the gently sloping rocky outcrop of her home that leads down to the ocean below.  The brief was to capture Jocelyn, her work and the environment within which she creates it for her brand and upcoming exhibition in the Hamptons, New York. For me, it became about channelling Jocelyn’s delightfully warm and energising personality and showcasing her elegant creations amidst the warmth and clarity of her home and the Mexican sunshine.
