A series of Portraits taken in rural Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom, in 1997 - as part of a broader project documenting the fetish and alternative clothing, tattoo and piercing scenes. Which - despite their rise in popularity - were not part of the mainstream at the time. In 1997, subculture was still something with longevity and commitment, a concept that has since shifted with the rise of the internet and social media.

Exhibited at The New Designer’s Exhibition 1997.

Shot on medium format colour film, cross processed and then recently scanned onto digital files.
